That saying ends with "but a master of none." I believe that to be false to a certain extent. If you can be a master of trades that are impactful and resourceful to each other, then you can truly be a master of all trades. I started my pursuit of graphic arts and video editing in freshman year of high school (2016). In English class we created a summary of the books of the odyssey, and I based my chapter's presentation on Nintendo characters telling the story. I was the featured book during open house and that was when I tucked away the inspiration. However that inspiration didn't resurface until later, when I discovered Overwatch, a 2016 game made by Blizzard Entertainment. I started making video montages with my own clips from the game, which were few and far between. I showed my friends my works and their reactions solidified the feeling that this is what I wanted to do for a living.
The first project to spark my joy of creating graphic art
While unfinished this was one of the first projects I worked on in Adobe Premiere. This is of an old Overwatch team I was a part of.
